Finds out the flavors of this distinctive Portuguese wine and its secrets, rituals, and traditions in the iconic location where it has been made since immemorial. You may do it all at your leisure in an all-inclusive private trip.
In this Private Wine-tour devoted to Vinho Verde, we will learn about the processes, secrets, and tradition of creating this rare wine, which is so beloved and sought after by the Portuguese, as well as recognized and acclaimed globally.
We will begin by exploring the well-preserved citadel inside the 17th-century fortification of Valença do Minho. The centuries-old rural and green roads will take us to the heart of the Monço and Melgaço sub-region, the origin of the famed Alvarinho grape variety, where we will stop to learn the secrets of Vinho Verde production.
Then we’ll treat ourselves to a wine lunch with local cuisine and distinguished wines. Following this gastronomic adventure, the “Green Area’s” rural and traditional landscapes will lead us to explore the characteristic villages of Portugal’s oldest wine-growing region and the historical heritage that can be discovered here.
Then, in a tranquil and pleasant situation, we will undertake a second tasting of delineated Vinho Verde of the diverse kinds from this sub-region, with the harmonization of regional goods.
All this and more, at your speed, with a qualified, experienced, and pleasant guide who will make this day an amazing memory to share with your family and friends.

As our first stop, we will visit what is considered the "Quinta" of national reference for the production of "Vinho Verde," with its stunning botanical gardens and the century-old Manor House, which is still owned by the original family.
Now that we've sampled the nectar of this region's essence at the most prominent "Quinta," let's learn about its inhabitants in the magnificent city of Amarante, nestled between the "Serra do Maro" and the valley, which is bathed by the bountiful Tâmega river.
We encourage you to savor the richness of this region's cuisine at a table where the smells and fragrances are wonderfully full of authenticity and history after such a hectic morning of learning.
With our energy restored from the delicious lunch, now is the time to explore the Route of the Romanesque and its sphere of influence, as well as the art and symbolism that characterized Portugal and Europe during several centuries of the Middle Ages, always intertwined with this wine-producing region.
