Things to know before booking

Remember these things before our journey:

You should bring comfortable shoes (no slippers or high heel shoes), a camera, and a small bottle of water. When it’s hot outside, we suggest applying sunscreen to exposed areas of the body and wearing sunglasses. During the colder months, wearing an additional layer of clothes is essential.
Please keep in mind that, although we run successful excursions in this part of Portugal all year, certain adjustments may occur owing to bad weather and usual seasonal changes to schedules and transportation routes.

Regarding the covid safety guidelines:

Wearing a face mask (for 10+ years old) is still required in all indoor and outdoor places where warranted.
Respiratory etiquette, aeration and ventilation of interior spaces, frequent handwashing and/or disinfection, cleaning and/or disinfection of equipment and surfaces, self-isolation from signs or symptoms of COVID-19.
Up-to-date communication of proximity regarding the rules of conduct is also maintained (posting the measures in the entrances in a visible way).

The meeting place will be your hotel in Braga or Porto. 08h30 AM

You'll begin the day by exploring the UNESCO Panoramic Routes of the Douro. The breathtaking panorama will bring you to the center of the area, where you will view the cliffs and hills.

Then it's time to refuel with a tasty dinner and local wine at a typical restaurant (or other drinks, as an option). You will be brought to ponder the Valley's natural splendor through scenic highways and breathtaking views across the Douro River.

Then, we'll go to a nearby winery to learn more about the winemaking processes used in the Douro Valley. Then we'll have a wine tasting.
